A short film about teenage depression.
Zoe is a joyful teenager whose infectious love for life elevates everyone around her. Her sweet 16 is coming up; everything is going well in Zoe’s world. But a smile can paint a thousand stories. Struggling with her mental health whilst maintaining the goofy, happy image that everyone knows and loves, Zoe faces an inner turmoil that overshadows what is meant to be the most exciting night of her year.

A PEEK UNDER THE SKIRT…
Shot over 3 days, this is the first Candid Broads production that had several extras on set across multiple locations. Also the first time our Producer (who’s 5f2) thought it wise to speed up the process of moving tables (twice her size) and carrying them around to evidently hurt her back so bad that she was shouting in agony between takes. Now she leaves the heavy lifting to crew members who actually have muscles and she stays on her laptop working on spreadsheets.
